Prof. Zhen Zhang received his Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from the University of New Mexico and is currently a Professor at the School of Emergent Soft Matter, SCUT. He previously conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Chicago, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Colorado State University.His research focuses on sustainable and recyclable polymers, high-performance elastomers, and functional polymer design. Prof. Zhang has published over 20 papers in Science, Angewandte Chemie, and JACS. His notable works include recyclable polyesters, biodegradable adhesives, and self-healing elastomers, advancing the development of sustainable polymer materials.
