Personal profile:
I am a dedicated public health official with extensive experience in Japan’s regulatory and healthcare administration. Since joining the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) in November 2011, I have worked across multiple key departments, including the Pharmaceutical and Food Safety Bureau, the Health Insurance Bureau, and the Health Policy Bureau. My responsibilities have covered pharmaceutical regulation, medical device policy, regenerative medicine, and national health insurance.
From 2019 to 2021, I contributed to cutting-edge research as part of the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA) at Kyoto University. After returning to MHLW in 2021, I resumed work in pharmaceutical regulatory affairs.
As of October 2024, I serve in the Food Standards and Evaluation Division at the Consumer Affairs Agency, where I am engaged in ensuring food safety and public health.
With over a decade of cross-disciplinary experience in government policy, regulatory science, and biomedical innovation, I am committed to improving healthcare and safety standards through evidence-based policymaking.
