In 2023, compliance of food contact materials remains critically important. With the continuous development of the global food industry and the growing consumer focus on food safety, ensuring the compliance of food contact materials has become an unavoidable topic. Compliance not only concerns safety, but also encompasses environmental and social responsibility. Sustainable development requires materials to be renewable, resource-efficient, and environmentally friendly. By promoting compliant and sustainable development, the food contact materials industry can reduce reliance on finite resources, minimize environmental pollution, and advance the circular economy and green development.

Against this backdrop, the 2023 International Food Contact Materials Safety Symposium will be held on October 26–27, 2023, at the Hilton Xi’an. Under the theme “Compliance for Good”, the forum will bring together legislative officials from government authorities, scientists from the research community, regulators, and industry professionals for in-depth, face-to-face exchanges. Participants will gain insights into regulatory developments and future outlooks, scientific research achievements, the latest industry trends, as well as current challenges in the field of food contact materials safety.

In addition, core experts from the national standards drafting working groups will be specially invited to provide training on newly issued national safety standards for food contact materials, helping enterprises stay up to date with regulatory changes and requirements, and strengthen compliance management and quality control practices.
